Like water spattered across betel leaves before deft hands fold them into a perfect bite-size paan, this mangtikka shimmers with glorious routine and similar shine. This piece takes its inspiration from the shape of the same betel leaf, which marks the start of auspicious events in cultures across South-Asia. The lines of pearls flank the delicately cut and set mirrors, reflecting like water does.
